Boot Hooks / Speed Hooks

$50.00

Made in the USA from quality metals, these boot or speed hooks come in three different sizes and a large variety of colours.

Description

Boot hooks, also known as speed hooks, take constant stress every time you lace and remove your boots. If one becomes loose, it’s important to have it repaired quickly. A loose hook can pull free from the leather, damaging the surrounding material and making the repair more complex.

At Baxter & Black, we use premium-quality boot hooks manufactured in the USA from durable metals. They are available in three sizes and a wide range of finishes, allowing us to closely match the original hardware on heritage boots, hiking boots and work boots. If an exact match isn’t available, we can source specialty finishes to achieve the closest possible result.

Quality hardware is only part of the repair. The setting dies and machinery used to install the hooks are equally important. We work with a manufacturer that produces both the hooks and the precision dies, ensuring every fitting is secure, accurately aligned and built to withstand years of use.

After extensive research, we sourced professional equipment from around the world to deliver factory-quality results. Few Australian shoe repairers use this level of specialised machinery, allowing us to complete boot hook replacements that look original, perform reliably and preserve the character of your boots.

Our Method

  1. Firstly, we select the matching boot hook size and colour to the original eyelets that are on the shoe or boot.
  2. Secondly, we use a special tool to remove the damaged speed hook and clean the area with a cotton cloth and Saphir Renovateur Cream.
  3. Finally, we place the boot and hook in the die and compress to secure the new hook.
