Our Method
- To start, we remove the worn sole by carefully unpicking the welt stitch in order to preserve the original welt.
- Secondly, we re-cork if needed using a spreadable cork.
- We then rough up the back of the Baker Leather Full Sole Sole to give good adhesion.
- We glue the new sole to the bottom of the shoe and trim.
- Carefully, we welt-stitch through the same holes to ensure the durability of the welt.
- Finally, we hand-trim and finish the edges to match the shoe’s original profile.
